CBD & Organic Supplement FAQs

What is CBD?
CBD, short for Cannabidiol, is a naturally occurring component of hemp.
CBD is present in more significant quantities in hemp than marijuana, and because it is non-psychoactive, CBD is widely regarded as the cannabinoid with the most health potential by researchers.

What is the endocannabinoid system(ECS)?
Our Endocannabinoid system helps maintain homeostasis.
The ECS maintains homeostasis through: the firing of brain cells in the nervous system, and the inflammatory response of the immune system.

Is CBD legal?
As long as the CBD product is derived from hemp, it is legal in all 50 states.
In 2018, the Agricultural Improvement Act of 2018 (aka the 2018 Farm Bill) removed hemp as a Schedule 1 substance and reclassified it as an “agricultural commodity”, thereby making it legal. The farm bill also legalized the sale, transportation, and possession of hemp-derived CBD products with <0.3% Delta-9 THC.

Can I use CBD while taking other prescriptions?
Always consult your doctor before adding anything to your regimen.

Can I take CBD products on a plane?
Yes, you can take CBD on a domestic flight.
Because CBD is legal throughout the United States, individuals can bring CBD aboard planes. There are few restrictions regarding CBD oil, topical, or edible transportation in checked baggage as long as it meets the 0.3% THC or less regulation.

Does CBD show up on drug tests?
Drug tests are designed to detect only THC, not CBD.
Depending on the type of CBD product used, Full Spectrum CBD (although only has trace amounts of THC) can show positive for THC if used over a long period of time. Although both CBD Isolate and Broad Spectrum CBD do not contain any THC we recommend CBD Isolate as the safest option to avoid a failed drug test

What should I look for when looking for CBD?
First, what kind of extract are they using? You want to see Cannabidiol, hemp oil extract or hemp extract on the label. When you see a label that lists hemp seed oil, know that it contains zero CBD oil. It comes from the seeds of the plant rather than the stalk, stem and flowers.
Second, every reputable company will have a Certificate of Analysis (lab results) on their website. That will show you exactly what a third party found when testing the product.
Third, be aware of anyone claiming things like; cure, treats or heals. CBD companies are not medical companies, therefore they cannot give medical advice or make medical claims. Be cautious of companies that do.
